Yeah, my 442 was only four weeks old when I had my experience. I was driving to Ohio through South Dakota before they had the four lane. In those days the road was straight as an arrow for 100 miles, and then there would be a right angle corner. Only there was an 18 wheeler coming the other way. I went through the corner in a four wheel drift expecting to be smeared all over the side of the semi. I came to rest with my front wheels over the shoulder, and when I released the brake it rolled through a barb wire fence. That was the only damage: the barbed wire scratched up my beautiful new hood. I slowed down to a dull roar after that. Only got one speeding ticket with it.
