Hello BubbaFred, On Taiwan election, do not fret so.

You must believe in the power of the people.

I am watching the show in Taiwan with enthusiasm; you must remember, crisis is a partner, and volatility is a friend.

It should appear to the most casual of passing observers riding by at speed on horseback that:

(a) Ballot democracy with a 30,000 questioned margin of majority creates a problem more than offers a solution;

(b) In so many ways, Taiwan's social, political and economic interests may have been damaged by the electioneering exercise;

(c) Guessing about the Taiwan ruling class, the intrigues just got started, as in gloves off, even as politeness all around;

(d) In other words, the drama just got started, and the Last Man Standing Death Match Tournament is on;

(e) "Game Over, Player One" will be, eventually, in the fullness of time, as time ripens;

(f) Which player is Player One? I do not know, but I do know that time is precious, more so for some than for others, and thus the drama;

(g) I think it is perhaps not correct to believe that China mainland is actually nerve-wrecked about developments in Taiwan one way or another, because, I am guessing that all can guess at the final chapter’s turnout;

(h) I think the current drama on Taiwan island is indicative that some folks are certainly nervous about something and agitated about something else;

(i) In the case of mainland China, it may be a mistake to confuse a desire to not be annoyed by nuisance with nerve-wrecked-ness;

(j) But then, for folks believing they can make money easily by simply being patient, as opposed to striving with diligence to be the last man standing, they can believe almost anything, but only until they cannot, and not beyond.

So, enjoy the excitement, relish the drama, and anticipate the outcome.

Remember, the movie is most likely a drama thriller, and not so much a thriller mystery.

Chugs, Jay
