Can someone give me a fundamental argument in favour of Oracle? I do not see that they can grow. Chart hasn't gone anywhere in over a year btw.

They failed in their ERP strategy -- use acquisition to become *the* competitor to SAP. On the database side, their products are very expensive and are being threatened by competitors, notably for the future imo, the open-source db MySQL. (SAP, and other important app. vendors have made a commitment to MySQL.)

So, could ORCL pull a rabbit out of the hat and not get punished?
