Ted,

re: I think its amazing that British blood lines still play a role in our politics.

I have some of those blood lines. They haven't done me a bit of good.

re: Kerry's recharging his batteries. I actually think its a smart move.

Yea, I think he's regrouping. Not a bad move. He was getting foot in mouth.

re: I thought the same damn thing when I saw a replay at the gym today. Its overdone.

He's got that self satisfied smirk. If he wants to play the War President game, it's not appealing. Especially to folks that have kids, or know kids on the front. Rove is giving him some bad advice. If he were smart, he would never even mention Kerry. The "I'm the man, I don't even recognize these liberal wimps" strategy.

re: The Bush cronies would make mincemeat of Gore......he's not the fighter that Kerry is.

I disagree. Gore also has the revenge factor. Been a VP. Doesn't have the senate vote records on 1000 bills to pound.

The thing that is sleazy about the voting record attack, is that the best politicians have the ability to change their mind, depending on the current situation. What they define as wishy washy is really an understanding of the what is needed at this point in time. The guy that won't change his mind, for whatever reason, is more dangerous and less productive.

They will constantly nail Kerry on his voting record. And in a sound bite election, he won't have a chance to carefully explain the situation we were in at the time of his vote. That's why it's a bad idea to have a Senator as the Presidential candidate. Too much baggage. Governors make better candidates.
