Yiwu, I was referring to the current U.S. government policy of discouraging unions, lax enforcement of worker safety, and not supporting an increase in the minimum wage, which at its current level does not allow a family enough income to get above the poverty level.

The most that can be expected reasonably in developing countries is a policy with specific goals to reach the standards set by the International Labor Organization.
