Not much of a story there, Brumar. Nice try though. I read the piece and I really don't see the beef. No evidence JK would do anything so outlandishly silly and stupid as entertain assassination ideas, and look at this proof to back up my claim that JK left the VVAW very quickly as he was more conservative than the rest of them, a group which included some radicals.
"John Kerry, Scott Moore, Mike Oliver and Skip Roberts resigned as national coordinators.” Thanks for posting that because it backs up my previous posts. One of the former heads of that group stated that JK was "more conservative" than the rest of them and therefore left to work within the system.

Apparently, this was a gorup made up of many different types of anti-war vets. From conscientious moderates like JK to radicals wanting to take it to the streets. Remember, this was 1970 (or around that time) when radicalism was everywhere. I remember my brother in 1969 leading anti-war rallies carrying a red flag. And my brother's a straight conservative guy, has been for 25 years. That was then and this is now.

BTW: Where was GW Bush in 1972? He claims he doesn't remember going AWOL. Still hasn't explained that one has he? Anyway, I'd rather have a Silver Star war hero who helped protest and end the war than a rightwing coward who ducked duty while supporting the war.
