"a national security hardliner, openly contemptuous of most of the Democrats on the Hill"; that he's blowing the whistle is all the more newsworthy

Stockman_Scott,

I have no doubt this thing is contemptuous of Democrats. He's clearly contemptuous of the sitting President.

What concerns me is his contempt for his fellow citizens and their hired guns, not to mention the Iraqi's whom he must have known were about to die as he looked on in October of 2003.

How do you read his timing? I can't believe that a normal human being would have sat through the Congressional review on this simply because he was 5 months from a 30 year retirement and didn't have his book done yet.

I think there has to be another reason for his delay. Is there some type of criminal law that prevents security types from talking for a year after leaving service? I just don't get that kind of contempt.
