Right left, left right. You guys are making semantic distinctions that don't exist within the examples you are using. Here are some commonalities between contemporary 'rightists' and 'leftists', i.e. Hitler and Stalin governments:

*Wage and price controls
*Production controls
*Rigid controls of foreign trade
*Currency controls
*Forex controls
*Capital controls
*Suppression of independent trade unions
*Encouragement (sometimes by force) of State-controlled labor unions

The only real difference was the collectivization of agriculture in the Soviet Union, although in Germany agriculture was controlled by the state through regulatory processes.

I could go on and on. Both Germany and the Soviet Union were command economies. If anything, I suggest that controls were tighter and more effective in Germany than in the Soviet Union.

Hitler didn't despise the communists at all. A read of Mein Kampf supports his admiration of their ability and dedication. They were brutally fought and suppressed because they were an effective rival political party. Hitler didn't know enough about economics to fill a thimble. He courted the industrialists because he wouldn't get the army under control without their collusion.

Nazi Germany had a greater disparity of income than the Soviets, but neither of these countries were even in the same universe of disparity as the current US.
