India is catching up, may very well grow just as fast as China in near future<g> Although China growth rate will be somewhat slower because the gov. now stresses more balanced and "greener" growth. and it will take a decade or two for majority of farmers to have some purchasing power. The last 2 decades of fast growth in China is, by a large margin, at environmental and future generation's cost. Good thing is that the gov. now has realized it.
