Joe and all, From the LU thread.

Allen is on target with his interpretation and observation of I20 for the X86 platform. With the X86 architecture being key here, I will put my 2 cents in here on a much lesser technical standpoint. His expertise in 120 is unmatched. He obviousely knows the system.
Formerly known as Tornado for I2O, this I/O solution does not address or run in a Unix based environment and Wind River Systems licences I2O-compliant Hardware Device Modules (HDMs) and Intermediate ServiceModules(ISMs)related to it, to all interested parties (not just Intel). Emulation aside. the engine provides an integrated development environment(IDE)under Windows NT and Windows 95. I see Wind River Systems sticking to their product for the X86 platform and another...coming up with a Unix solution. Maybe Oracle or the like.
Best Wishes
