What about the Iraqi diversion from the war on terror. Al qaeda has been adept at taking advantage of the situation during the transition of govt. such as in Spain etc. But the main charge of O'Neil and Dick Clarke is that the Administration has not been serious about the war on terror and instead has been obsessed with Iraq.

That is what they are charging. Why Iraq? Condi has not answered that. Iraq had nothing to do with Clinton, is it? Why so much of money and lives have been lost in Iraq when we could have spent all that is going after Osama?

With all the bombings in Iraq, Spain etc., with the terrorists being able to strike at will, how can Bush claim that the nation and the world is safer today?
