Approval ratings and 60 Minutes. When Paul O'Neil went on 60 Minutes (Jan 11) Bush's approval rating was 59% in the Gallup/CNN/USA Today poll. The following week he was at 53%.

The Newsweek poll had Bush's approval rating at 54%, dropping to 50% in the week following O'Neil's appearance.

Hopefully more Americans will wake up to the fact that Bush is making the world more dangerous. I doubt we will see the same erosion in ratings (Bush is also advertising heavily), but a couple of points would be encouraging.

Best to all.
