come on, the runaway deficit which is a key ingredient for the dollar crash has weighed on these markets, and added to the inflation mess. And Bush's inability to negotiate with the Chinese is the other problem. Investors that think Bush is good for these markets are reaching and that is why polls show the "investor class" (which is dwindling admittedly) prefer Kerry.

I think some fiscal discipline would go a long way to improve markets and some minor regulation of all this offshoring of core IP would help too. The funny thing about this economy is the same kind of total cluelessness we had in the early 90s from Bush sr. is replaying itself now.
