GERN vs. LDAKA: As an aside, one can't help wondering whether Wall Street has any grip on reality at all. Geron has reported a nice piece of scientific research, very pleasing intellectually but certainly not brilliant, and guaranteed to have absolutely no practical clinical value to anyone for a long, long time. As a result, Geron's stock price has practically tripled this month giving it a market capitalization of over $160 M. On the other hand, Lidak has provided at least a sketchy report of definitive results on a new therapy which could dramatically improve the quality of life of 50 million people in the U.S. alone by next year. For that, they have a falling stock price and a market cap around $90 M. ????? M.C.
