It will be interesting to see how many responses you get here as I don't think many have routers.

Here is a suggestion if you use newsgroups (Usenet). I find Usenet groups extremely helpful. Try this newsgroup:

comp.os.ms-windows.networking.tcp-ip

I also have a DI-604 and have been going round and round with Dlink tech support and the web master at www.htguide.com -- with no solution. The guy at www.htguide.com said he knows his web site has a problem with the DI-604 router but the owner of the web site is reluctant to fix the problem.

Can you connect to this web site?

htguide.com

Let me know if you can. The only way I can is to remove the router from my system or to go into the router's setup program and go to the DMZ section and tell the router to NOT get in the way of my machine, which opens me up for mal-ware while on the Internet, except of course I can still use Zone Alarm.

I was really surprised and angered to find the DI-604 would not connect to this web site. It does seem to work OK with everything else tried so far and I enjoy having the router and having it be "always connected."
