1) I read that China has had higher increase for its productivity during the last decade (Marc Faber or someone said that) comparing with a lot of developed countries, so whether private property rights are implemented or not, does not really matter.

2) Keep in mind, the vast majority of the current super rich in China, although the number is very small, obtained their "private property" by corruption or tax fraud. So don't be too sure about your assumption.

BTW, I have plenty of friends in the US who work for private companies, and quite a few of them told me that sometimes they have nothing to do but chatting, or staring on the ceiling/wall<g>, or just pretending to be busy, or surfing on the internet. Although they cannot read the newspaper.
