The average Palestinian is not much different from the average person in any developing country. He goes to work if he can find it and just tries to bring home money to feed his wife and kids. These people are not devils. You might just as well shoot your own head off for having bad teeth as condemn the entire people of Palestine for the acts of the radicals who run the place.

The question is not how to make peace with the radicals who control the place, but how to give the honest decent people of that land a chance to live enough like humans that they can run these killers out of their own midst.

Its a hard question. Much easier to say 'fk em all!". Much easier to type cast an entire nation and support policies that treat them all like dogs.

I would imagine if you took Brooklyn and fenced it off and started knocking things down and killing people you would find a lot of enraged people on the train to Manhattan every morning. Brooklynites would be doing some very radical and seemingly incoherent things in the same situation.

Most of our ancestors came from opressed places like that. (Palestine, not Brooklyn; though some of us have the pleasure of a dual heritage) They fled because they could. Palestine is what happens when you are stuck in the same hell hole generation after generation. (Brooklyn is what happens when you decide you like it.) And I haven't heard of any Palestinian teenagers blowing themselves up in Brooklyn; says something for the people doesn't it?

There but for the grace of an ancestor go us all. Its a shame we all seem to forget that so easy.
