OMD, I don't agree that the Kerry /VVAW/Fonda/extreme
radical connections are just a sideshow nor do I think
the comparison to some cocaine party attended by Bush
is apt.

IMO, Kerry chose the anti-war movement as a vehicle
from which to launch his public career. He consorted
with people of questionable background and willingly
touted accusations of atrocities against his fellow
soldiers.

To this date, he has not apologized for those activities
nor even hinted that his allegations may have been in
error. I am not one bit surprised that the radical
organization of which he was a high level leader
and national "face" considered extreme action like
assassination. Kerry failed to blow the whistle.
That says a lot about him.

To me, Kerry is nothing more than a cheap opportunist,
willing to sell his own mother to further his political
career. Stripped to its essence, the rhetoric
about his flip-flops, etc. boils down to a simple charge--
the man stands for nothing and therefore changes with
the winds of expediency.

Actually, I take that back.
The one constant for Kerry is his ambition.
And everything else is sacrificed at that altar.

JMO.
