depending what your reference point is. On a relative basis crude oil is not on the lower price band.

During the mid 1980's crude oil was priced around $10 if my recollection is right then they tried achieve around $16 to $18 band. Based on those prices I think inflation adjusted crude oil is about 30% to 35% above that trading range.
