The entire plant and equipment is currently has a book value of C$6M. Is the salvage value likely to be significantly higher ?

I can't answer that.
Could it serve other ventures in the area or is there nothing else of potential in the area? Is the process of that plant out dated and hence the equipment of limited value today?
I remember in the early '70's Falconbridge built a nickel Nickel Iron refinery in Sudbury. The pilot plant ran well but the $ 100,000,000 plant they finally built would not work at large tonnage. They spent a lot of money trying to get it to work and finally wrote it off, tore down the building and sold some stuff of and we scavenged equipment for years ( elec. motors etc.) for FL's other plants. To make a long story short, there was a huge loss of money.
I'd be skeptical about the plant you speak of having much value but........?

Cheers
