Donald - Do you, or anyone, know more about the 'compact'? In the Detroit Free Press story you posted there was the following statement: "The Legislature would have to approve a Gun Lake Band compact before it could take effect; it has not approved the other four tribes' compacts." This is the first I've heard about the requirement for legislative approval of a Gun Lake Band compact, and the statement that four other bands' compacts have not yet been approved. Does anyone know what this compact is, and what plans Bill Church and the Gun Lake Band have for ensuring legislative approval?
