A year ago this was the fanciful vision that pushed Blair to side with Bush and go to war in Iraq. Nah......that's a plain fabrication...... The Iraq war was necessary because neither the UN nor the US could verify that those fanciful doomsday scenarios were not possible...post 9/11 this nation will not wait for threats to fully ripen before it acts to neutralize them....Saddam had 12 years and numerous opportunities to cooperate and verify his compliance...he chose not to.....and suffered the consequence of the application of the Bush doctrine....if some pinhead thinks that makes the occupation illegal...he needs to think again.... J.
