Schlumberger currently operates a fleet of approximately 2000 coiled tubing units worldwide. ILI's Sand Trax product is an innovative method for oil and gas producers to determine the presence of sand in the flow stream without the use of radioactive materials, dyes, or other hazardous markers. During the second half of 2003, with the participation of a number of major oilfield service companies, ILI management completed field trials of the Sand Trax system and extended the system's patent to include the United States.
