Ha, $2 gas is not going to get anybody
out of their SUVs! For the type of person
who drives an SUV (middle class, family
or a lot of stuff to haul on trips etc)
the difference between $1.50 gas and $2 or
even $3 is pretty trivial. Whether it takes
$25 or $35 to fill up and cross the state to
Grandmas has no effect on my pocketbook.

And for commuting, I wouldn't buy an econocar
unless it tripled my milage. (my Taurus gets
about 20 plus or minus I'd guess...).
