LGF <font size=4> I’m beginning to believe John Effin’ Kerry may have some sort of psychological quirk that causes him to reflexively lie even when there’s no particular reason to do so; case in point, this story: Kerry Avoids Dispute on Clarke Charges.<font size=3> KETCHUM, Idaho - Hitting the slopes for the final time on his ski vacation, presumptive Democratic nominee John Kerry on Tuesday ducked a dispute over what some Democrats are calling a White House effort to discredit former counterterrorism adviser Richard Clarke. <font size=4> “I don’t know anything about it,” said Kerry, questioned by reporters as he arrived at the ski slopes.<font size=3> “It’s my last hours, my last hours.” In a new book, Clarke contends that the White House didn’t respond to warnings of potential terrorist attacks and manipulated the nation into a war with Iraq. The White House has moved aggressively to discredit Clarke, sparking complaints from some Democrats that the administration is focused solely on avoiding political fallout. Kerry declined to wade into that disagreement, saying he’s asked to have a copy of Clarke’s book shipped to his vacation home, where he’ll study the book before commenting. <font size=4> Does anyone really believe that a candidate for President of the United States is so out of touch that he knows nothing about a story intended to have a direct effect on the election, that broke last effin’ Sunday? Do we want a President that out of touch?
