JDN, It was North Carolina that I meant to say. We only drove through the area without much time, so must have missed a lot. It is the whole area around there that we like, and are not set on any one town. Last year, I checked out some real estate on the websites of several of the towns around there, and there were quite a few brick homes in the $120K range. There are other towns, like Maryville, Severville, and New Port, Tennessee, and we like the area around Murphy, NC. In the newer subdivisions, the houses are high as a cat's back, but more reasonable homes are scattered around the place. We have no intention of getting a double wide, with polyester curtains, and a redwood deck. :^)

You may have never heard that red-neck C&W song.
