My understanding is the rapid growth is occurring in almost exactly the wrong places, example the rain forests of S. America, resulting in mass cutting and burning of those forests that keep the carbon dioxide/oxygen ratios in balance. Not to mention their inability often to barely feed their populations. Most of the industrialized (rich) nations are doing everything they can for one reason or another to slow their growth. I hear Europe is actually on a decline slope, USA probably would be too if it were not for immigration of peoples who normally have larger families. Be interesting if you can find out something about Canada. They have the room, they actually SEEK OUT immigrants, whats their status? jdn
