when i drove into boston for night school parking was very difficult around Boylston street. I would drive for 1/2 hour to get a parking spot , some night go home as i couldn't find one.

One night coming out of school i found a note on my car windshield. dent in your fender was caused by two cars fighting for space behind you. one person backed up quickly and hit your right rear fender. license number. I wouldn't have noticed it until maybe a day later. I went to police station next to school. (still had stables for the horses along side of it. think Mass pike now took it out). cop not interested in it. could care less. told me to file an insurance report and would not even take down the information. I went to bureau of registry veh. they gave me the address of the owner of the car through license plate.(bet they don't do that today) called the place got a maid it was Rhode Island plate. then got the old man in the house. he told me to go away. I told him i bet his son or daughter goes to school in boston and hit my car and drove off. I will report it to police as a hit and run. and to your insurance company as a hit and run. maybe they can take away your son or daughter's license. His tone changed quickly and he took down my information and filed the report to his insurance and i got his information and filed with my insurance. The note was signed with tel number and that helped tell this guy why would a disinterested person put the note on the car? I called the person and thanked them very much. He was not fighting for the space but walking down the street and observed these two drivers trying to get into a open space at the same time. g
