yes they own 95+% of broadwing and they got it for a net of something ike $85b (after adjustments as detailed in 10k) out of bankruptcy. they just bought focal communications also for what seems like a pretty good price to make the local connect in major cities. they have a very good balance sheet but they are pretty much out of the equipment business except for provisioning their own network...
