Man, this guy Bush has a history with the bottle. He does not have the first hand experience of war like Kerry, MaCain and Hagel does, neither does he have a record of academic performance and a intelligent thought process that Clinton exhibited during his student days.

Interesting how the Dems place so much emphasis now on military expierence and "first hand experience of war."

Seems to me Bill Clinton had absolutely zippedy "first hand experience of war" and his challenger, Sen. Bob Dole, was a WWII veteran who was permanently injured as a result of his service. I don't recall anyone criticizing Clinton at the time for a lack of "first hand experience of war."

Kerry couldn't wait to get out of the Mekong Delta and served only 4 months over there. There were plenty others who served their full tour of duty and even some who re-upped for another year in-country. Makes one question his commitment to the service of his country.

As for Bush's drinking, that was long ago. The man doesn't drink and hasn't for some time. Watch what you say on that issue - AA has over 2.0 million members, per their web site. That's a potent voting block.
