Inflation check
According to today’s Wall Street Journal, prices for scrap steel have doubled in the past year. Higher prices are partly due to the higher costs of shipping the stuff from foreign sources. And there’s high demand outside the US besides. Non-scrap prices are also on the rise and squeezing the margins of companies producing products with the metal.

William:

The interest rate bubble could burst in the next 9 months... It's hard to artificially go against market forces... Remember what happened to gold after the artificial $35.00 and oz price was lifted... I'm keeping an eye on the Rydex Juno Fund which shorts the 30 year treasuries... Sooner or later when rates start to soar so will the Juno Fund.

Durable goods and housing starts looked good today... The tech stocks are bouncing... Let's see what tomorrow brings...
