my "dream scenario" here is to see a nice jackup in US rates. i would love to buy back into the 30yr with a 6-handle or better. considering how volatile rates have become (last year's move from yield trough to peak was about a 48% move), a similar 48% move off recent trough area could put the 10yr at over 5.4%!

i'd say if that happens, it will take about 10 seconds before the economy falls apart.
