Hi Michael. No real harm done. I can't speak for anyone else but I would have covered shorts on Wednesday for a small gain...as I did on the Profunds thread. As you said...the odds of a move up seemed to be increasing by late Wednesday. Nice trade if you held onto your ETF's through Thursday.
