Back up Question.

How is everyone doing; well I hope.

Haven't been on this subject in a few years, so I don't know if this has been already hashed out. Please bear with me.

Anyone have ideas on a standalone back-up drive? I have a few Zip Drives but I'm wondering if there is a good drive that I might be able to put on a USB port where I could back-up the entire drive that's resident in the machine.

The question is reactionary. Windows 2000 self-corrupted itself (well, I certainly didn't do it!!) and I'm hoping that the unbacked up files won't be deleted in the upgrade phase.

Some of these files are huge; cannot download them to a Zip. I've heard of drives that back-up several Gigs but using some sort of Optical interface. I do not have such an interface.

Any thoughts?
