The Brain, light reading on heavy subject. My connection to ECD here is with cognitive computer, trying to understand what's it all about. What is so remarkable about the connectivity of the brain is that each nerve cell can be connected to thousands of other cells at the same time. This creates an almost limitless number of possible connection combinations. One expert estimated that ‘the number of possible different combinations of synaptic connections” in your brain is “larger than the total number of atomic particles that make up the known universe. Perhaps this explains the brains ability to think; that is to learn, analyze, contemplate, understand, remember, plan , make judgments, make decisions, and more. When you learn something new you cause physical changes in your brain. The more you study something, the more you practice some action, the easier it becomes to remember or perform as you strengthen the bonds between the neurons involved in that activity.
