I think there is a very strong correlation between the lack of a strong father/son relationship and many of our social ills.

Why of course there is. I am convinced fatherlessness (whether physical or emotional) lies at the root of teen promiscuity, crime, teen depression and a host of other sicknesses, including male homosexuality.

It is very hard for sons (I speak to sons because I have most experience with them, my daughter being yet a toddler), to live in stark contrariness to a father they have adored and respected for literally as long as they can remember. There is a period of time when a boy looks up to his dad as if the dad is a god. Many fathers miss the opportunity that this period presents, to inculcate within the boy lessons, skills and values that will live with him for the rest of his days. No woman can do this for a boy, I don't care how much of a dyke she is.

Women give birth to children, but only a man can make a man.
