I wondered why this time was chosen by the White House...why not sooner? I can understand why not later cause it will be close to the elections. What gain could Bush receive by getting Clarke to get it out now? Who else would bring this info into the public eye?

Maybe so Clarke could answer all the questions that Bush doesn't want to answer or can't answer?

Maybe to take the heat off the lack of answers from all the other cabinet members............Armittage was a joke.
