When you "run on your record", it is what you accomplished (as opposed to policies you tried).

As an example, Reagan ran on the 5.3 Million private sectors jobs added during his first term. Clinton ran on the 10.8 million additional private sector jobs. It is difficult for Bush to run on the 2.9 million fewer private sector jobs!

Can Bush claim his "No Child left behind" is working? Has he reduced the National debt? Is our air / water cleaner? Have we reduced our emissions of green house gases?

What can Bush run on?
