If the public has to choose between one's sworn testimony, and another's talk show comments and un-sworn 'testimony', then I'll bet we know who's they'll choose.

Rice ostensibly knows that sworn testimony in this context is worthless because the commission is disinterested in the truth. It really wants to take Bush down, though they guy has done nothing wrong at all, has broken no law, has not certifiably lied to anyone. No one with even a fraction of a brain would submit themselves on oath to this brood of vipers, unless he himself is a viper. That is why Clarke agreed to appear before the commission. He knew he was in friendly territory. That territory is hostile to Rice and to the truth. She does well to steer clear of it. Very nice.

Now she needs to go right back on the attack and keep hammering the Democrats from now until Bush is re-elected (and a little more afterward, just for good measure).
