Not so much Toomey winning, as he may not win. The
thinking is that Specter would win the state easily as he
always has (staying in the Party for Senator & President).
Theoretically, more folks would be inclined to also vote
for Bush. If Toomey won the primary, he might lose the
election. Even if Toomey won, he wouldn't come close to
the # of votes Specter would get, thus the potential for
more folks voting for the Democrat & also voting for
Kerry. In a state like PA, every vote is critical.

Although I don't vote in this manner, I don't doubt that
some folks do, so there may be merit to the theory.

Personally, among the folks I know who will vote, most
have already made up their minds & only something
significant between now & November is going to change
their mind. I'd say it's slightly in favor of Bush, but
I'm far away enough from Pittsburgh where they remain
decidedly left of center. And Philadelphia is even more
left of center.

Hopefully there are enough undecideds here in PA that will
vote for Bush after looking at what both really offer this
country.
