Dumbya is promoting himself as a "WAR president" (what kind of presidency is it, btw? Calling "Defense President" may have been more politically correct, I think) and therefore Clarke's book and testimony clearly undercuts his credibility in his percieved strength. Politically his team along republican leaders seem to be digging a hole for themselves.

Many local political commentrators (DC has ton of them) are saying if they just said "Sorry We were unable to connect the dots at that time" not a single soul would have cared about this thing.

Now with anti dubya hat on - I am recommending that Bush team and congressional cronies keep attacking Clarke. It will be a lose lose scenario for them.
