lorne, I view the results of Spain, and possibly Australia and the statements from Poland etc. as a mandate against Bush and the way he is leading the coalition. The people in these countries are not saying that we as a group of nations should abandon the war on terror and start negotiating with the terrorists. It is the Bush putting that spin. I have heard the Spanish Prime Minister-elect say over and over again that he would want to work with a larger coalition of nations of the UN and not go it alone like Bush has.

The mandate is against Bush's tactics not against war on terror. I am really starting to think that Bush is very short on intelligence if he does not understand that they are sending him a message that his methods are wrong. He just does not grasp the important points of any issue, leave alone coming up with a solution. The American people are starting to realize this when he opens his mouth everytime to say something.
