I honestly don't know if anything worthwhile as far as an energy source will ever come from cold fusion. But, I know it's important for the integrity of science that important new discoveries are recognized, so science can move forward. I really think cold fusion has been held back by the oil cabal that runs Washington. The U.S. Patent Office has refused to issue cold fusion patents (even though the European and Japanese Patent Offices have issued cold fusion patents many times), and offical government bodies in the U.S., like the DOE, have refused to research cold fusion. Which is why this DOE Review is such a big deal. It signals a shift in the thinking in official corridors in Washington in regards to cold fusion, and possibly other alternative energy sources. The U.S. Navy has been clandestinely researching cold fusion for a decade and released a report last spring stating that they believe the phenomenon is real and deserves further study. Someday you might just be running your propeller on your hat on something as exotic as cold fusion, or better yet your car.
