lorne, terrorwise, let me ask if you feel safer now than you were immediately following 9/11.

I don't. We here talk about dirty bombs could go off any time in the US. We see international flights being cancelled. We hear of American soldiers dying everyday in Iraq because the terrorists are killing them on the very turf that Bush claimed would be safer with the arrest of Saddam. I hear what happened in Spain could happen here since in is happening or about to happen in France etc.

I think the question is not whether we should continue to fight terror. The question is whether we should change the approach we have taken thus far. Sr. Bush took a longer time to go to Iraq, he had a set goal, he knew what he was going in for, he had an exit strategy and he succeeded very well (let us keep aside the economy under Sr.). Jr. does not have a clue what he wants to do on terrorism. Or if he has a clue, then we have not heard it from him so far.
