$1.29????????? Suicide. Mechanicide. He said that the fluid smelled burned when they opened it up. He said transmissions are now computerized and don't last as long. He said 77,000 miles was more like a 7 year old car. I called a transmission shop and they said-sounds right. I am drinking a pina colada wine cooler and these are my thoughts. Men like cars. They talk about them with fervor and passion, the way I talk about Te Kanawa singing Puccini or Battle doing Mozart.. I called my husband and was told that he "was in meetings all day". The sprinkler man wanted to show me how to probe for lines, dig up pipes and check a bleed valve. If I wanted a car this week, I could authorize the tranny now. My husband is in meetings for this reason--to earn money so that I (a feeble brained woman)don't have to think about car innards and you know what else? I'm damned if I'm going to walk around in the 100 degree heat with a probe digging up valve boxes either.
