Ice - No apologies necessary. The little smiley emoticon clued me in that your Yankee bashing was all in good fun. I did my undergraduate work at Washington & Lee University in Virginia after having spent my first 18 years in New York so I've heard 'em all. There's always a certain degree of regional pride no matter where you go - New York included. We've long been derided for thinking of ourselves as the center of the world so it's only fair we catch a little flak now and then. Hope you enjoy your sub to the Herring - let me know how you like it. Rob p.s. speaking of articles on how geography affects stock market attitudes, we did do an article in the March '97 issue about the growing level of venture capital activity in the southeastern U.S.
