George Bush was not suckered into any war. He (and his cronies) WANTED the war and dredged up ANY evidence true or false to support the action. At this point the effort is being made to suggest: "we were misled" etc. That is just more lies. As far as I can discern the war happened to: -- head off the use of the Euro as a petro reserve currency -- provide a place to which the Military bases in Saudi Arabia could move (because the Sauds demanded that it happen) -- provide control over 2nd largest oil reserves -- provide a base from which other Middle Eastern operations in the future could be undertaken All the public reasons given are straight BS. Saddam Hussein meant NOTHING. He was just the convenient figure to vilify. Namaste! Jim
