So Condi didn't hold a meeting - at least so he says. Maybe the real complaint is, she did and didn't invite him, or not in the capacity he thought he ought to have been invited? She says he didn't come to her meetings.

And what would have turned out differently if the meetings had been held the way Clarke wanted them?

The only thing clear about the account is that there is bad blood between Richard Clarke and Condi Rice. For Clarke to write things like "Condi Rice looked like she had never heard of Al Qaeda" is simply ridiculous.
