I notice you did not tote up the other side of your list. The vocal other side: c2, CB, Nadine, Bill (on his thread).
I say we try to pay attention to the paper trail and less to motive mongers, like Frist saying, on the floor of the senate, where he is protected from lawsuits, that Clarke perjured himself, then in the halls outside, where he is not protected, that he, Frist, had not read the congressional testimony to compare it with Clarke's recent testimony.
