Your sarcastic remark reveals little knowledge of the fact that the BLS is not controlled by the White House. The head of the BLS is not a presidential appointee, for obvious reasons. Do your research at the high-school-civics level before pontificating with your own level of hubris in full view.

Interesting how some posters on SI are far more politically inflamed than the politicians themselves on the subject of government-issued economic statistics. You'd think the folks on Capitol Hill would be having a fit over the allegedly cooked books at BLS, but they're not. Wonder why. (Probably because they know more about the subject than the inflamed SI posters.)
